Another successful spare key programming with the Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus!
This time on a 2021 Dodge ProMaster, the process started by reading the 5-digit security PIN, followed by programming all the keys that should remain authorized in the BCM. A straightforward and reliable solution for adding a new key while ensuring only the selected keys stay active.
Read the Security Code
Go to:
Immo Programming → North American → Dodge → Select by Area → North America → PROMASTER → 2020–2021 → Flip Keys → Start Programming → Password Reading
Insert an already programmed key and switch the ignition ON with the engine OFF.
Follow the prompts to cycle the ignition OFF and ON.
Disconnect the vehicle battery for 1–2 minutes, reconnect it, then continue.
Key Tool Plusreads the5-digit security code: 14133.

Program the Keys
Select Key Programming
Turn the ignition to the ON position and enter the 5-digit security code.
Insert the new key into the ignition and complete the programming procedure.
When prompted to program another key, select Yes and repeat the process. If you select No, all keys programmed during the current session will be saved, and any keys not programmed will be erased from the vehicle’s memory.
After successful programming, the device shows the key learning status, including:
Current key type: Learned flip key without remote function (RF) in BCM
Current number of keys stored and registered in the BCM module.
