When VVDI Prog Programmer need extra 12V power?

VVDI Prog software has an area to display Power configuration.It will display the status of power ( VCC, VPP, 12V), support change the voltage of VCC and VPP (The default voltage usually not need to change).

Just like the pic:

Most chips with VVDI Prog does not require external power

If you need to connect, the software will prompt the customer to connect the 12v power supply.
