Solved! Program Audi A4 2008 AKL on Bench “unknown version” Error

One customer gave feedback that his Key Tool Plus is not possible to program Audi A4 2008 AKL on Bench. It was unable to pull cs and pin from eeprom file. Also, VVDI Tablet showed “unknown version” when trying to load to get key data

Solution:

Desolder EEPROM and read again.

Steps:

1.Desolder chip

2.Read chip

3.Add key to file

4.Write file to chip

5.solder back chip

Feedback:

Desoldering the chip first before reading did the job
