Volvo S60 Bosch ME9.0 ECU Cloning OK with Xhorse Multi-Prog

Today, we’re sharing an interesting ECU cloning case from the workshop: cloning a Bosch ME9.0 ECU from a Volvo S60. A local auto electrician reached out to us for help with an ECU that was causing unstable engine performance once the engine reached operating temperature. After inspection, the original unit showed multiple microcracks and signs of a previous improper repair. Since replacing it with a donor ECU was a more cost-effective option, we decided to clone the data to the replacement unit. The entire process was completed without soldering or opening the ECU housings, keeping the original seals intact.

Device used: Xhorse Multi-Prog
Mode: Bench
Working time: 30 minutes.
