When all keys are lost for a 2007 Mini Cooper (EWS4 system), you can recover and program new keys easily using Xhorse VVDI Prog and VVDI2.
Steps:
1.Pick and Decode Lock
- Use a Lishi HU92 pick to open and decode the lock safely.
2.Remove and Read EWS4 Module
- Take out the EWS4 immobilizer module from the car.
- Connect it to VVDI Prog with the EWS4 adapter and read EEPROM data.
3.Generate New Key with VVDI2
- Upload the saved EWS4 EEPROM data into VVDI2.
- Use VVDI2 to generate and write a new transponder key.
4.Test the New Key
- Reinstall the EWS4 module and test if the car starts normally.
