Just completed an all-keys-lost job on a 2021 BMW X3 equipped with BDC2 using the Xhorse Key Tool MIDI.
The 2021 model has a locked ECU. He used another tool (Autel) to read the DME EEPROM data.
The process will modify the DME data, meaning the vehicle may no longer be able to obtain another dealer key in the future.
The customer understood and accepted this limitation. With the dealership’s turnaround time being too long, getting the vehicle back on the road as quickly as possible was the priority.
