GM BCM RH850 R7F701053 Cloning Success with Xhorse Multi Prog

A user recently shared a successful GM BCM cloning case using the Xhorse Multi-Prog Programmer.

The original BCM (24C32 + RH850 R7F701053) was water damaged and replaced with a unit of the same part number.

First Attempt:
Only the 24C32 EEPROM was cloned. The vehicle started, but the driver/passenger door locks and driver window failed to work.

Solution:
After checking the data, the user found that DFLASH was empty (FF FF FF) while CFLASH contained valid data. Writing both the EEPROM and CFLASH to the replacement BCM solved the problem.

Result: BCM cloned successfully and all functions were restored.

Takeaway: For this GM BCM, cloning the EEPROM alone is not enough. Be sure to transfer both the EEPROM and CFLASH when using the Xhorse Multi Prog.
