Share the solution to the customer’s XHORSE XSMQB smart key weak signal issue.
“Reading the original MQB49 5C key data was successful, but sometimes the Xhorse XSMQB smart key would not learn properly. Since the Xhorse key may have a weaker signal, especially during keyless programming, try removing the steering column cover and taking out the Start/Stop button. Hold the key close to the antenna and make sure the steering wheel is straight. You can also try using a Faraday bag, and if the programming still fails, remove the key battery during the learning process.
A Faraday bag is a small pouch with a special shielding layer that blocks the key’s signal. When you place a Keyless Go key inside it, the vehicle cannot detect the key or start the engine. Once you take the key out, the vehicle can detect it again.
During programming, you can also keep one key outside the vehicle to help prevent signal interference, so you may not need to purchase a Faraday bag.
In my experience, even the original key on a Skoda sometimes had trouble learning again, and the remote functions stopped working. I had to repeat the programming process around 30 times before both the Xhorse key and the original key worked properly. If the first attempt fails, try again and verify that both keys function correctly after programming.”
