Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus Disables Ford Alarm Without Ford AKL Cable

The Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus now supports a new method for disabling the active alarm on certain newer Ford models—without a Ford AKL cable.

The device can read and back up the vehicle’s EEPROM data, modify the data, and generate a universal Xhorse smart key to act as an emergency key.

How It Works?

1. Read and back up the Ford EEPROM data with Key Tool Plus.
2. Modify the EEPROM data to deactivate the active alarm.
3. Generate a universal Xhorse smart key for emergency use.
4. Use another compatible Xhorse smart key as the master key for programming.

The universal Xhorse smart key essentially works like a stored-key emulator, providing a convenient alternative to a dedicated emulator.

A similar method is available for some Toyota models, using an XM38 as the emergency key before programming another XM38 as the master key.
