A customer got the error message “UDS CAN ID is zero!!” when programming a smart key for a 2025 Volkswagen Teramont using the Xhorse Key Tool Plus.
Solution
According to Xhorse engineers, the newly released VVDI Key Tool Plus does NOT require the Xhorse CAN FD Adapter for this vehicle.
Simply enter the correct menu path:
Immo Programming → Volkswagen → Teramont → 2025 → Smart Key Programming
The device will automatically identify whether an adapter is needed.
Notes:
- Select the correct vehicle model and year
- Update Key Tool Plus to the latest software
- No need to charge or use the CAN FD adapter in this case
In most cases, choosing the correct programming menu will solve the “UDS CAN ID is zero!!” problem.
