Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus successfully added a VW Golf 8 MQB49 5D smart key. The process includes reading the original key data via MCU cable, then performing key learning. For MQB49 5D systems, the original key is required. There is no need to virginize 5D keys — they can be directly rewritten and reused. If the vehicle is equipped with an SFD security gateway, make sure to unlock the SFD gateway before proceeding with key learning.
