Here is how one customer troubleshoots Xhorse Dolphin XP005L battery:
Seen last week someone’s post about the Red Battery logo – and no charge issue.
XP-005L
Mine had 3 cycles in 1 year, as it’s used on a bench only.
Had it disconnected from mains, to give it 1 cycle drain & charge – after seeing thst post.
God… It’s died on me during the discharge process.
No beeping, nothing, just switched itself off, and didn’t take any charge.
The battery wasn’t showing up in the system menu at all.
200£ for a new battery pack.
The BMS disconnected the pack – it had 13V only instead of 25V.
7cells 18650 batteries only + BMS.
This is just for educational purposes!
Please note, this is a very, very dangerous procedure as Li-Ion cells are flammable as hell!
It was fully sealed with some nasty rubbery like residue…
20minutes later, lot of very, very careful prying the residue…
The BMS & cells on the bench.
Just disconnect the main plug from the BMS, the red and black wired connector on the right side.
Charge it slowly up from 14V up to 25V, with current limit to 1-2A (OCP) on the Bench PSU and 1V increments.
Mine was at 13.5V, hence i’ve started from 14V
Once is at 25V and under 200mA the charge rate, just disconnect it, and place it back to the alloy case.
I used some of the rubbery residue to hold the battery pack in place, and don’t forget the 2 hex bolt to secure the BMS in it’s designed place.
Obviously, i need to seal it again, not to get debris into and destroy the pack.
Now it’s charging up by my XP-005L.
Complete!
