why xhorse vvdi prog doesn’t work with older software versions?

Xhorse vvdi prog is tool to read eeprom, mcu, ecu, immo .etc data, and we received feedback that vvdi prog can not work with older software:

i have bought a VVDI PROG, and i had in the past.. but died.. and now i bought a new one
but i see that this new one doesn’t work with older versions of the program

with 5.3.8 tested and works perfectly

but i tried older version.. no way working.. tried other driver.. newer older.. other laptop but nothing

but a friend has an older vvdi prog.. like i had.. and works with new version but also with old version

not find device, i tried any other version than 5.3.8 and i get not find device, but with 5.3.8 works

The vvdiprog of the VP05 serial number can only be used with software version 5.3.4 and above.

And you can see this info from VVDI PROG software update info. Thanks.
