Overview of Adapter Types
There are two types of adapters available:
- 3 PCB adapters: Require opening the key shell and clamping directly onto the circuit board.
- 1 shell-clamp adapter: Works without disassembly—simply clamp onto the key shell for quick operation.

Step-by-Step Procedure (Example: VVDI Key Tool Plus Pad)
1. Generate Remote
Enter the software → select Remote Program → choose the correct option → tap Generate → return to the main menu.
2. Start Programming
Go to Programming → select BMW → choose System Selection → enter G/U Chassis BDC3/BCP IMMO System → tap Start Programming.
3. Read Original Key
Connect the BMW U-type PCB adapter to the original key.
Select Read Original Car Key Information and follow the prompts.
Align PCB holes with BMW Dedicated Adapter pins, lock in place, connect via DB15 cable to Xhorse Key Tool Plus.
Tap Read and save the key data file.
4. Generate Dealer Key
Remove the adapter → select Make Dealer Key → choose No → place the new BMW key into the coil area → confirm to proceed.
Once completed, the new key is successfully cloned and ready to use.
Other Adapter Operations
The procedure is similar when using other adapters:
Square-type PCB adapter: clamp directly onto the board after opening the shell.
Long-shaped PCB adapter: follow the same PCB alignment and connection steps.
Shell-clamp adapter: align MSDA/MSCL pins with the key contact points and clamp securely—no need to open the key.
