A customer reported that the Xhorse Multi-Prog + Audi BCM2 Adapter V2 failed to read an Audi BCM2 3381 module, repeatedly showing “PIN is abnormal.” However, the older BCM2 Adapter V1 worked fine on the same unit.
Cause
The issue comes from a compatibility mismatch between the BCM2 3381 version and the default pin layout of the V2 adapter.
Solution
Modify the Xhorse Audi BCM2 Solder-free Adapter V2:
XDNP100 BCM2-ADAPTER-A
XDNP101 BCM2-ADAPTER-B
After modification, the V2 adapter can read the BCM2 3381 normally without triggering the error.
If you see “PIN is abnormal” on BCM2 3381, adjust the V2 adapter and retry. The fix restores compatibility and ensures stable BCM2 reading.
