I tried to update all 3 items to newest version as you recommend , all must run under same version in order to avoid “Do Not Detect VVDI2”
I see update window Firmware got frozen on v4.8 . It does not change , it cant detect VVDI2
Software and update tool 5.6.6
Switched from home network internet to my cellular to slow speed
*manual tells you to change internet provider , to a 3G levels

Tried windows xp 32bits in one laptop
Tried windows 7 in other laptop.

Answer:

Wind 7 forget about it if you have install any other device with same driver.
Best solution is Wind XP. Wind XP and it will find driver by itself and install it correctly.
Here a XP SP3 driver for your download:

Now you need to install latest software first. You can find it here in this thread or click on Update tool , on top you will see Software update , click on that and you can download latest SW.
Then after you install SW, you need to update FW . To do that you need to click on other Icon “Update Kit” and first read device , then update FW.

I hope this will help you , if you did not return it yet, and Internet it does not matter , I use all the time my WIFI and never had problem.
