Generally, the IMMO function on Key Tool Plus is selected by systems, so we’ll explain its work by IMMO systems as well.
Part 1. EWS System
Key Tool Plus mainly deals with EWS3&4 since VVDI has adapters for EWS3&4.
The 2 adapters allow us to read EWS3&4 EERPOM without soldering.
One tip is that EWS4 adapter is compatible for Key Tool Plus but we must have a Multi-function Adapter.
Of course there are tools like AK90 that can do better on EWS units.
Part 2. CAS System
This can be the strong point of Key Tool Plus Pad.
Key learning from CAS1 to CAS4/4+ via OBDII is definitely a big charm.
Even for particular models with CAS4+ or All Key Lost, key programming could be done on bench with the help of CAS4/4+ Test Platform.
Part 3. FEM/BDC System
As the new one and the supersedes of CAS system, key programming on it won’t be an easy job.
In most case, we should handle FEM module on bench and remove&restore its cover for several times, so we’d better know every step of it before operation.
Works may need a FEM/BDC Test Platform and a clip adapter.
Programming is as tough as that of some CAS4 models AKL, but anyway it could do that perfectly.
To sum up, Xhorse Key Tool Plus does well in EWS3, EWS4, CAS1, CAS2, CAS3/3+, CAS4/4+ and FEM/BDC.
